Hi there, I'm Kelly, 

My journey to midwifery began as a little girl, I was always drawn to everything birth and babies! After the birth of my first daughter, 28 years ago, I became certified in the Bradley Method and began teaching childbirth classes from my home.

For many years I served as a doula, teaching and supporting families as they birthed at home or in the hospital, with medicated, unmedicated, and cesarean section births. During that time I also served as a birth assistant with a team of local midwives as well as in a nursing role with a local OB/GYN. My diverse training in birth education and women's health has equipped me to best serve you and your baby as you shape your birthing legacy.

In February of 2013, I became a Certified Professional Midwife (CPM), licensed by the state of Virginia. Since then, I have worked as a primary midwife at a birth center and I now run my own home-based practice, Blue Ridge Birth, Inc. Over the past 28 years, I've had the privilege of attending hundreds of births, each unique and beautiful. It would be my joy to help you in any way as you navigate this road of motherhood.
